The GE Smart Water Filter Adapter Works with fridges that use older metal filters like FXRC, FXRT, MXRC, HXRT, and WR97X10006.
Lets you upgrade to the newer GE MWF - which is cheaper and filters more from your water.
Designed to be reused so you only have to buy it once.
The MWF filter with the adapter is is about 25mm taller than the older metal canister style MXRC filter so you may have to lower your top shelf.
Installation:
Just twist the adapter onto the new MWF filter, then install the adapter and filter assembly into the fridge. The next time you change your filter, the adapter will stay in the fridge so you'll never need to buy another one.
